     Westbank Bible Church was founded in December 1994 under the laws of the State of Texas as a non-denominational local church.  The purpose is to evangelize the unbeliever and through expository teaching of Scripture, to enable the believer to fulfill God's plan, will and purpose for his life.  Salvation is the grace gift of God, received by personal faith in Christ.      

     John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."

     Bible teaching is free to all.  The Westbank Bible Church does not solicit contributions.  When gratitude for the Word of God motivates a believer to give, he has the privilege of contributing to the Church.

     Respect for the Word of God requires good manners and poise, along with objectivity and the Filling of the Holy Spirit.  Therefore be sure you silently name your sins to God when opportunity is so given at the beginning of each service. 

     I John 1:8-10 "If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.  If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word has no place in our lives." 

     This naming, as commanded, will guarantee you as a believer the Filling of the Holy Spirit, making possible the teaching ministry of God the Holy Spirit.

     John 16:13 "But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come."
 
     John 14:26 "But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you."
 
     Church membership is not required for attendance or Communion.  For membership information, you may contact the pastor either in person or by telephone (512) 306-1613.  Membership is open to all who have accepted Christ as Savior and agree to submit to the teaching authority of the pastor teacher of this church.
